Meet the Artist

I'm Chrissy Deal, a watercolor artist and photographer with a multidisciplinary background that also includes print and textiles. I paint every portrait by hand, from the first sketch to the final wash of sky or grass. There is no AI and no Photoshop, only paper, paint, and a lot of care.

I came to this work after years of helping people communicate professionally through difficult moments, which taught me to listen closely and get the details right. I bring that same attention to every commission, learning what a place means to you so the finished painting feels true. Based in the North Carolina Appalachias Mountains, when I'm not painting I'm roaming the woods, cooking with my retired-chef husband, or planning my next trip abroad.
